The southern model aircraft show, Paddock Wood, Kent 2009. This was our first exhibition. We found this show to be of great value. We saw that their was a need for Flashing /strobe modules and more HI-FLUX LED products.We shall be therefore developing these products in our range. FLASHING/STROBE MODULES.
We now have available a MULTIMODE - MULTISPEED -TWO CHANNEL Flasher module for standard format LEDs. The two outputs are opposed to one another. You can just use one output if you so wish. The module has four modes :
50:50 FLASH
SINGLE STROBE
DOUBLE STROBE
BEACON
Each mode has four speeds. The modes are selected by grounding a combination of two wires and the speeds are also selected by grounding a combination of two wires. The voltage range of this module is 7 - 30 volts. It measures 30mm long x 20mm wide by 15mm high and is fully waterproof (can operate under water).It is also very robust and shock proof.
An amplifier is available that has two channels, The power output for this module is 1.5A per channel. This means upto 2 x 3 Watt Hiflux Leds @ 700mA each , or 3 x 1 Watt Hiflux Leds @ 350mA (tested) or 13 x 1 Watt Hiflux Leds @ 100mA each, or 50 standard format Leds @ 25mA (superbright,ultrabright etc). This module has been made to suite our flasher module, it requires individual resistors for each Led. Each channel of the amp, can be used with each channel of the flasher module or both outputs of the amp can be connected to one of the flasher module's outputs. Also, additional amps can be fitted to increase the number of Leds. It is recommended for the supply to be a min of 9 volts (12 volts for Hiflux Leds). This module also measures 30mm long x 20 mm wide x 15mm high and is waterproof ,robust and shockproof.
Led kits are available for ultrabright 3 & 5mm standard format leds & 1 Watt Hiflux leds @ 100mA. All Leds are available in : Red, Green, Amber, White & blue. The kits consists of the led, 400mm of twisted pair light weight wire, shrink sleeve and resistor.
Our Hiflux Policy.
To run a Hiflux Led at it's rated current 1 Watt (350mA) or 3 Watt (700mA) means that the resistor shall get VERY HOT ! also, The led should be cooled or a large heat sink used, The led manufacturers, also state that the life of the led is greatly reduced. We therefore only stock 1 Watt Hiflux Led kits @ 350mA intended to be used with our Flasher module. We also do a 100mA 1 Watt Hiflux Kit for continuous operation. Please make sure you order the correct kit for the intended use. We do not stock 3 Watt Hiflux Leds.
